Published DLC Overview
As of version 1.0 (October 8, 2026), the Steam store lists three pieces of DLC for Neon Abyss 2. None of them contains power or progression content: every weapon, every Hatchmon, the full Faith system, and Vaporize are all in the base game.
| DLC | What it contains | Price (US / CN) |
|---|---|---|
| Archenemy Returns | Every boss from the original Neon Abyss, remade for the sequel | $0 during the free window; $9.99 / ¥36 after |
| Supporter Pack | Purely cosmetic thank-you pack, no gameplay content | $9.99 / ¥36 |
| Original Soundtrack | The full OST as a standalone purchase | $6.99 (no separate CN price listed) |
Archenemy Returns: The Boss Revival Pack
Archenemy Returns shipped with the October 30, 2025 content update, pulling the original Neon Abyss bosses back into the Abyss one by one — 34 in total. Their movesets have been reworked, the visual effects upgraded, and Manager-tier enemies have been redesigned from the ground up. The 14 new weapons added in the same update (four of them returning classics from the first game) shipped as free base-game content, so nobody had to buy the DLC to keep up on power.
The official marketing is inconsistent on the count: the Steam store page and the Chinese announcement say 34 bosses, while the Xbox store description says 35.
Supporter Pack: Cosmetics Only
Veewo positions the Supporter Pack as a way to say thanks, and it contains nothing that affects combat. Confirmed contents:
- An exclusive outfit for Agent Saya
- A star badge displayed next to your nickname
- Shimmer ghost appearances for every Agent, visible to teammates when you die in co-op
- A jukebox in the bar that lets you play the OST in-game
- All holiday-themed skins, with more added over time
If your only goal is getting stronger, skip this pack entirely.
Editions and Bundle Comparison
| Edition / Bundle | Contents | US | CN | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Base game (Standard) | Game only | $19.99 | ¥58 (20% off at ¥46.40 launch week) | Series newcomers |
| Deluxe Edition | Base game + Archenemy Returns + Supporter Pack | $29.99 (Xbox) | ¥88.80 on sale (¥118.40 list) | Players who want the returning bosses in one step |
| Supporter Pack | Cosmetic supporter pack | $9.99 | ¥36 | Co-op regulars, fashion hunters |
| Archenemy Returns | Returning boss pack | $9.99 | ¥36 | Players chasing the old bosses who don't care about cosmetics |
Deluxe vs. buying separately
Buying every DLC individually comes to $26.99 without the OST. If you don't want the soundtrack, the Deluxe Edition is the better deal; if you do want the OST, splitting the purchases costs roughly the same.

The Archenemy Returns Free-Claim Rules for Early Access Owners
One rule, but the edges matter:
- Eligibility: anyone who bought the base game before the 1.0 launch on 2026-10-08 — including during a sale.
- How it works: the DLC is added straight to your library from the store page at ¥0. No quest, no redemption code.
- Retention: per the official wording — "even after Early Access ends" — once claimed it is yours permanently and will not be revoked.
- Not eligible: players who first buy the base game after 1.0, and Xbox players who only play through Game Pass without buying the game outright.
The free window is closed
Archenemy Returns became paid ($9.99 / ¥36) when 1.0 launched on 2026-10-08. Missed it and you now buy the DLC standalone or grab the Deluxe Edition.

For Game Pass players
Game Pass covers the complete base game, but DLC is not included — to fight the returning bosses you need to buy the DLC or purchase the Deluxe Edition.
Who Should Buy What: A Decision Tree
- New to the series? Buy the base game only. Finish a run or two before deciding whether to spend more — and if you're patient, wait for a sale (see the Faith system for how far the free systems carry you).
- Played the original and here for the returning bosses? Go straight to the Deluxe Edition. It saves roughly 25% over buying the pieces separately.
- Playing on Game Pass? If you're in for the long haul, buy the base game on sale while you still have access; otherwise there's no reason to pay for DLC.
- Collector or series fan? Deluxe Edition plus the standalone OST. The jukebox and holiday skins keep getting new additions.
- Missed the free window and want to catch up? The bar is simple: are 34 remade bosses worth $9.99 / ¥36 to you? If you haven't finished the base game yet, finish it first and decide after.
Veewo has never offered a pre-order bonus or launch-exclusive edition. If you see third-party listings selling "bonus codes," stick to the official stores.
